Vehicle
2012 Nissan Rogue SV 2.5L
Title
Customer states that vehicle is not driveable.
Complaint
No communication with TCM, repaired wiring.
Diagnostic Steps Performed/Parts Replaced
Vehicle came in on the hook with no communication with the TCM and P1740, P0840, U1001, and U0101 codes in the ECM. I checked all powers and grounds to the TCM and they all load tested good. I checked pin fitment and all appeared good. I found a used TCM and installed. The codes cleared, and the TCM communicated. I pulled out of shop and started to drive it and the TCM stopped communicating and reset all of above codes. Next, I rechecked all powers and grounds, and checked resistance between CAN hi and CAN lo and it was 65 ohms. I scoped the CAN hi and CAN lo and had good square waves on both wires and they mirrored each other. I found that vehicle had an aftermarket remote start installed. I unplugged it from harness, still no communication. I checked CAN hi and CAN lo wiring between ECM and TCM and all appears good. I’m at a loss as what to check next other than another TCM? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I’ve seen a shorting solenoid take a TCM out on one of these.
Correction
Repaired wiring, Cleared the codes and drove it numerous times and all is well. Thanks for the responses.
