Quick Links - How To Quickly Look Up Common Specifications

by Gary Hixson

When a customer leaves their vehicle with you, they trust that you are the expert for their car repair. The customer not only expects you to get everything right, but they expect you to complete their repair quickly. With the many different makes and models sold in the U.S. every year, there is no way you can be an expert on every vehicle that enters your shop. That’s okay because you don’t have to — that is what your auto repair information software is for.

For instance, the ProDemand database contains more than 50 million pages of data, including specifications, diagnostics and real-world information. You can’t be expected to read through all of that just to find what you need. That is why ProDemand has been designed with advanced search functions and shortcuts to the automotive repair information you need. The Quick Links bar in ProDemand gives you a user-friendly way to search for commonly accessed specifications so you spend only seconds on the computer and get back to repairing the vehicle.

Even on the vehicles you know well, you will likely have to look things up, like torque specs, fluid specs, firing order and reset procedures. The last thing that you want to do is search through a ton of information to try to find the details. You’re a technician, not a librarian.

Mitchell 1 ProDemand Quick Links

With Quick Links, you have access to the most common specs and procedures, right at your fingertips. This includes a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) index, electrical component locations, wiring diagrams, and more. With a single click of a button, the details are delivered to your screen.

We think the system should search for you, not the other way around. Here are the Quick Link buttons you will find in ProDemand:
